TWEED REGIONAL GALLERY FOUNDATION

Supporting the Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre

As the Foundation Project Officer, I worked closely with the Board of Directors and Gallery Directors, Ingrid Hedgcock and Susi Muddiman OAM, to cultivate a vibrant culture of giving and philanthropy in support of the Tweed Regional Gallery, the Margaret Olley Art Centre, and the wider creative community.

I implemented the goals and strategies outlined in the TRGF Strategic Business Plan 2020–2024, which included:

  • Developing and executing annual fundraising and membership engagement initiatives for current and prospective members and donors
  • Donor and membership acquisition
  • Event logistics and delivery
  • Marketing, communications, and personalized correspondence
  • Maintaining the member and donor database
  • Financial processing, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Coordinating corporate partnerships

Highlights of my tenure include:

  • Connecting with dedicated supporters, listening to their inspiring stories of generosity, and learning about their deep connection to the Gallery.
  • Raising funds for significant artwork acquisitions that enriched the Gallery’s collection, as well as key initiatives like the Wollumbin Art Award and Bundjalung Artist Award.
  • Collaborating with a passionate team to deliver impactful fundraising and membership events, including:
    • Margaret Olley Birthday Celebration and Memorial Garden Opening
    • Social Bandit: Framing an Icon (with Husk Distillers during Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly series exhibition)
    • An Evening with Ken Done
    • Exclusive Tour and In Conversation with Ben Quilty and Nick Mitzevich

This role deepened my appreciation for the transformative power of philanthropy and strengthened my commitment to fostering meaningful connections through art and creativity.
